mountains can spill out gold by hard work and perseverance. These
lines are not of some movie script but reality. These are Ankur Thakur's
lines, a young farmer of Bnail village of Jamta, Himachal Pardesh.
By
the efforts of Ankur, here today a pomegranate orchard is ready to earn gold. Instead
of running after a job after completing MBA, Ankur decided to gardening near
the home.
Ankur
himself made the barren land with hoe and cultivated a pomegranate orchard on the
mountain. His hard work has paid now. In the orchard harvest has
come. MBA degree holder Ankur Thakur has set an example for the
entire region by raising an orchard on waste land.
By
looking at the dry mountain soil everyone can have an idea how hard is was. Today
each and every blow of hoe is ready to pay Ankur's hard work in the form of
pomegranate fruit.
According
to Ankur Thakur he has maintained half an acre orchard. Even in drought
conditions pomegranate gave a bumper crop.
In this fierce heat where people are longing
for a drop of water, farmer Ankur Thakur has raised the
crop of pomegranate by carrying water on his back.
Ankur said he carries
water from half a kilometer everyday. Not only pomegranate but
Plum and lechee harvest is also well ready.
He
also said that he is willing to give information about the pomegranate yields
to other young farmers.
