Himachal Pardesh Governor and Chief Minister mourn demise of Vidya Charan Sukhla

Governor, Smt. Urmila Singh and Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh have expressed grief over the death of former Union Minister, Shri Vidya Charan Sukhla at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon today. 

Shri Vidya Charan Sukhla was seriously wounded in Maoist attack on 25 May, 2013 in Chhattisgarh.

Smt. Urmila Singh said that Shri Vidya Charan Sukhla was a seasoned Parliamentarian and an experienced politician who had remained Minister for several years. She said that his contribution towards social services would always be remembered. She prayed for peace of the departed soul. 

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that having started his political career from grass root level Shri Vidya Charan Sukhla had a good political career and remained senior Minister in Government of India during Congress regime. He was respected by leaders of all political parties alike and had left behind a legacy of great dedication, distinction and dignity. 

Chief Minister prayed the God for the peace of the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
